A 3rd Generation Tile Artisan
Carl was literally born into the tile business. His grandfather owned his own tile business and introduced him to the art of tile. Ever since he was a young teenager, Carl spent hours upon hours helping his grandfather and uncles with a variety of tile projects.2
Who Followed His Passion
He fell in love with the artistic part of the trade and decided to ditch his original plans of going to college for engineering and architecture to pursue his true passion: tile. Carl eventually became a Certified Tile Installer through the The National Tile Contractors Association (NTCA). He also earned a certification in electric heating.3
Started His Own Business
Right after high school, Carl worked for a tile company so he could perfect his craft. In 2004, he finally took the plunge and started his own venture: Cutting Edge Tile. To this day, he loves the challenge and free thinking his tile work brings him. What excites him most about it, however, is the satisfaction of knowing that his clients will be using something that he’s built.4
And Became “The Flash”
Carl is known as the “Flash” because of how fast he’s able to turnaround projects without compromising quality. Additionally, Carl has earned a reputation as one of the most well-rounded tile installers out there.“Carl is AMAZING! I cannot say enough good things about him!
